Click here to watch the teaser trailer in glorious Quicktime.
While I don't like the tedious title, I'm very excited about seeing Ford back in the Fedora. As the image of the skull in the poster above hints, there is an extraterrestrial aspect to the story. I guess that makes sense...Indy can't really fight Nazis anymore, now can he?
However, I'm not crazy about the trailer. I think it's the tone more than the imagery. The whole thing looks a little too campy for my taste. Humor is a big part of what makes the first three so good, but after watching the teaser I'm afraid that George Lucas' newfound obsession with camp, as displayed in Star Wars Episodes One through Three, may spoil Indy's return to the big screen.
In other news, EW's Jeff Jensen has a great tease for tonight's Lost here, where he actually almost sorta-kinda agrees with my "Lost Theory" from a few days ago (see posts below).
In Jeff's words, "There's a secret war raging in the larger Lost world — a war over reality itself. The war is being fought by two rival groups that have knowledge of future events. Each group is leveraging this knowledge to facilitate different, self-serving outcomes. The castaways — and possibly the Freighter Four, too — are pawns in this quantum chess match. They are being moved around the board of the Island — and the larger world — in order to create certain events that generate certain consequences (or useful energies) that are either advantageous to their cause...or disadvantageous to their rival's cause. On one side of the board is Ben. On the other side, Matthew Abbaddon, who, I believe, works for a company that was introduced in the recent online tie-in game ''Find 815'', a group whose name was inspired by James Clerk Maxwell, a group called...the Maxwell Group."
And some bad news for fellow dorks: J.J. Abrams' Star Trek relaunch has been delayed from this December to next May!
