JJ Has a Full Cast

Everyone's favorite geek (other than me, of course), J. J. Abrams (Alias, Lost, Mission Impossible III, Cloverfield, Star Trek XI), is currently shooting a ten-million-dollar pilot (that's just the pilot, and it's more than some independent features cost) for FOX called Fringe that's set to premiere this fall, described as a cross between The X-Files and Lost. Color me interested.

The main characters are crazy-old-scientist Walter Bishop, played by John Noble, a.k.a. Return of the King's Denethor, his hot-shot high-school-dropout son Peter, played by Joshua Jackson, a.k.a. The Mighty Duck, and a tough young FBI agent named Olivia Wilson, played by Anna Torv, a.k.a. I've never heard of her either (but she's cute).

Word is that FBI agent Cute No-Name is investigating paranormal activity and needs the help of Denethor and the Mighty Duck. Also joining the cast...drumroll please...Lance Reddick, a.k.a. Lost's new ultra-creep Matthew Abbadon, will play Cute No-Name's boss and head of the "Fringe Division."

Maybe this is all a Lost cross-over, and these are the people that Ben has hired Sayid to kill. And the Island is really a bunch of trees growing on the back of the Cloverfield monster, who's sleeping in the South Pacific. And the Dharma Initiative is really a part of Arvin Sloane's SD-6 organization. And the 815ers will be rescued by IMF Agent Tom Cruise, who'll take them aboard the Starship Enterprise and travel back in time to my brain just exploded.

Trivia: Joshua Jackson was in the running for Bruce Wayne in Batman Begins.

trying to subscribe to your blog, can't figure it out-perhaps I am stupid?

also I linked your blog from mine-although you seem to be a better writer than I am, we are sort of doing similar stuff, I thought it would be fun to share (if you don't want me to link you I'll happily take you off no questions!)

peace, and here's to finding out why Kate's make-up is weird when she leaves the island!
